Keystart Country Housing Alliance
 “Working together to improve quality housing in metropolitan, rural, regional and remote WA”

On the 1 July an alliance between the Country Housing Authority and Keystart formed to create a one-stop shop for country housing loans – the Country Loans Centre.

This new alliance brings many advantages to rural West Australians. These include:

    1. A broader range of loan products for all regional residents, including specialised loans for farmers, rural employers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, first home buyers and those in remote areas who require power;
    2. A team of ‘on the ground’ regional brokers living and working in rural communities who understand the unique needs of rural West Australians.;  and
    3. A more streamlined and efficient loans application, assessment and management process.

The Country Housing Authority Board still exists and will oversee this transition to ensure the best interests of rural residents continue to be met.

The alliance between CHA and Keystart is not only good for individuals; it is good for regional development in Western Australia, because it enables the provision of essential infrastructure for the attraction and retention of skilled workers, critical for the economic development of rural and remote WA.
